Driving standard DOES get easier! I was so terrified of hills at first, too. Just remember to go very low gears to get up the hills, and watch your RPM guage, and if the needle gets too low, shift down a gear. And for traffic lights, I used to be terrified that I'd have to down shift quickly if it changed, but my hubby, bless his heart, told me that if a light changes or if you need to stop fast for some other reason, put in the clutch and jam the breaks, and to heck with shifting!
